When I was a big kid I read a lot of self help books
They said sadness is a choice, it’s a decision that you make
It was empowering for me, that I could choose to be happy
When I got a little older I learned that nothing really matters
Why worry about a thing, when it’s nothing
I lived care free, and that made me happy
But now, I have a lot to care about
Sometimes I get sad, when the things I care about don’t work out
Don’t work out
It’s okay to be sad sometimes, It’s okay to care so much that you cry
Sometimes
Sometimes…
